As of January 2025, this site is currently under development. I’m not sure in what direction I’m going to take it. I may create a local support organization, but I don’t have a plan as of yet. For now it’s simply a flag flying on the internet to help LGBTQ+ folks feel like they belong in Wheaton. It’s a beacon.
Particularly under the new administration, it’s important that our community knows there is support — since support no longer comes from our Federal government.
Who runs this site?
I’m an LGBTQ+ community member who wants to make sure people like me feel welcome and supported in Wheaton, Illinois. I haven’t personally witnessed any bigotry while living here, and I want to ensure that experience is shared by everyone.
I’ll update this page as I put together some kind of plan for what it will be.
